Project challenges

Challenges arose due to the land’s elevation, requiring manual distribution of materials. Afterward, the mechanical teams spent over six months installing the structure. Once a sector was completed, the quality team verified it, allowing the solar panel installation to begin. The uneven terrain, trenches, and excavation-like soil made this process particularly challenging.

After the solar panels were installed, the quality and revisions team, along with the module scanning team, scanned and indexed each module, checking their power and power class. Subsequently, the electrical team installed the cable trays, cables, and connections. The project took place during the summer, with temperatures reaching 48°C in the shade, forcing our team to work in an open, shadeless field.

Health and safety measures

Our H&S department developed a well-structured plan to ensure the safety and optimal performance of our team members. Measures included ensuring adequate rest, a carefully designed diet, providing hundreds of liters of fresh water and hot tea, and implementing shift work from early morning until noon and late afternoon into the night.

The Impact of Solara 4

The 219 MW Solara 4 project utilizes more than 661.000 JT325-340PAg polycrystalline solar modules from Jetion Solar, one of the world’s leading PV manufacturers. This massive project generates enough clean energy to power over 100.000 households, significantly contributing to environmental sustainability by offsetting more than 500.000 metric tons of carbon dioxide each year.

The Wiren team was by far the most efficient and committed team that activated Solara 4. We are verysatisfied with the collaboration and certainly plan to continue building future projects together.
