Clean energy rooted in the land

In agriculture, everything begins with the ground. It sustains, nurtures, and now – it powers. The decision to install ground-mounted solar systems was more than a technical upgrade; it was a “return to the origins”, where the land remains both the resource and the solution.

Sunlight now turns directly into electricity, feeding the same production flow that turns raw materials into food. By using open land for energy generation, the company not only optimised underused spaces but also made renewable energy an integral part of its production ecosystem.

This balance between land, energy, and production embodies the company’s vision of sustainable growth, one that aligns productivity with responsibility.

The pulse of production

Comtim’s operations span multiple sites, each with different energy needs but the same requirement for continuity. By developing a network of ground-mounted photovoltaic systems, energy consumption became more predictable and independent of market volatility.

The installations were strategically distributed to match production patterns, providing the right amount of power directly where it’s consumed. The result: smoother processes, fewer interruptions, and a new level of energy stability across all operational units.

We power what sustains us

Each installation reflects a shared goal, to make production more independent, efficient, and sustainable. Today, Comtim generates a significant share of its own energy, cutting over 940 tonnes of CO₂ every year and gaining greater control over consumption.

Through Wiren’s integrated approach – from planning to implementation – solar energy became a reliable component of the company’s daily operations, supporting efficiency and strengthening the foundation for sustainable growth in the food industry.
