The romanian energy market saw a decrease across the board. The average price dropped by 3.3%, settling at €114.09/MWh, while the maximum price saw a more significant decline of 26.4%, going from €272.17/MWh to €200.24/MWh. Similarly, the minimum price also dropped by 25.6%, moving from €18.11/MWh to €13.47/MWh.

Romania’s average price was €118/MWh, with Bulgaria following a very similar pattern throughout the week. Compared to Week 50, Romania experienced a significant decrease in its average price, dropping from €182.10/MWh to €117,93/MWh, with price fluctuations ranging from a maximum above €250/MWh to a minimum of €18.11/MWh.

Romania’s Day-Ahead Market prices took an interesting turn. The average price increased to €182,10/MWh, up 17% compared to the previous week. The highest price hit €843,29/MWh, which was a 20% rise from Week 49, while the lowest price dropped to €35,35/MWh – almost half of what we saw last week.

Romania’s DAM prices kept things interesting. The average price reached €155,69/MWh, up by 12.2% compared to €138,74/MWh the previous week. The highest hourly price was €703,16/MWh, significantly higher than Week 48’s. What stands out? The gap between the weekly highs and lows widened to €180.63.
